R.I.M. Report

Where was everybody?  After last year, everybody had this race on their schedule.  The day before the race we were going to have 6 TRW'ers.  Race day comes and its just BGB, Corey, and I.  Apparently, Berry heard Corey was heading to South Dakota after the race and drove up there instead.  He gets confused sometimes, but that's okay.

Trenton missed some major storms in the area, but did get some rain.  The trails were pretty greasy the first lap, but dried up a little each lap.  The 100+ heat index and the hills took its toll on a lot of riders, including myself.  On my first attempt at a 12 hour solo, I found myself lying down taking a half hour break just 3 laps in.  I finished my 7th lap of the 9.2 mile course just before 11pm and didn't have the energy or desire to go out one more time.  That shit was hard.  I took 5th of 6 in the 12 hour solo 30-39 division.

BGB and Corey both rode 5 laps.  BGB took 5th in the 6 hour 40+ division.  I'm not sure where Corey finished.

In other news,  I need to send my suspension fork off to get worked on(lockout isn't working), does anyone have a 29er fork I can buy or borrow for a little while(month probably)?  I'd even try a rigid fork if anyone has one.
