Whew! Bubba #8 aka Mt. Pleasant Bubba was less than pleasant. That was the hardest course ever for a singlespeed. Ever. I decided to get a little extra milage in by riding out to Augusta. I went out south of the Missouri River and crossed over the bridge at Washington. After the race, I took the Katy trail back, crossed over the Page Avenue extension and through Creve Coeur Lake Park. Saw this crash on the way back. The plane went down about 30 feet from the bike path. When I rolled up there were a bunch of people there but no emergency vehicles yet. Amazing those guys weren't seriously injured. Anyway, I cruised back home to complete the loop. Here's the route:
So basically the route worked out to be a century plus a cross race thrown in the middle.
Dirty Kanza is six months away. PREPARE!
